Really, people don’t donate blood to the Kentucky Blood Center. They are donating to the patients at nearly 70 hospitals and clinics in the Commonwealth who rely on the generosity of strangers. Often the blood center will focus on statistics, but the truly powerful meaning of this community endeavor comes from the stories of those who give of themselves and those whose lives are touched by these daily acts of kindness.

KBC brought together a wide range of donors and patients to chronicle their stories. Why do people give? Who might their donation have helped? How has the availability of a safe, reliable blood supply changed lives? These are some of the questions answered as donors and patients tell their stories.

We have put together multiple videos, audio files, interviews and more to share these stories and, hopefully, motivate others to give the gift of life.

If you have a story to share, please contact KBC at info@kybloodcenter.org. Please put STORY TO SHARE in the subject line and we can begin a conversation and share your story as well.

Only With You.
